This primary hybrid between two parvisepalum species reflects the best of both its parents. Flowers are very large with a striking staminode in raspberry and yellow. The pouch is also flushed pink, and the flower fragrant, thanks to the delenatii parent. Paph emersonii has contributed its large 'Mickey Mouse' petals while delenatii has improved the overall shape and presentation. Shown here is a first-bloom seedling in a 3.5" pot, with a flower almost as large as the plant itself! As an added bonus, these tend to be summer blomers. This hybrid is easier to grow and bloom than its species parents. It will bloom happily under lights, requiring a free draining mix and faring better with slightly cooler night temperatures especially in the fall-winter months. Plant growth habit also tends to be compact. An excellent choice for beginners and advanced growers alike. |
