Paph. Sumurun 'Boynton' (Boltonii x Chrostopher) is an old complex white that remains popular as a collector's plant. Like many hybrids of an earlier era, only a little is known about its parentage. The parents of Boltonii are unknown, though they must have included a brachy species, probably niveum,  somewhere in their lineage. Christopher consists entirely of the species insigne and spicerianum, which were the building blocks of most of the complex hybrids.

Sumurun 'Boynton' is a robust plant, often carrying two blooms to a spike. The flowers show quite a bit of yellow and light tan tones when they open (see photo above left) , but fade to white with attractive pink spotting and stippling as they mature (see photo to immediate left).
