This hybrid is heavily influenced by micranthum, as can be seen from the round inflated pouch. Paph micranthum has also contributed the pink reticulations on the petals, which combined with the spots from niveum result in a pinkish flower with a pearl base. It is an easy plant to grow, if treated like other brachys or parvis, and can bloom on a single growth no more than 10-12 cms across! Two flowers are borne per stem, and bloom in succession. For those who have difficulty growing and blooming micranthum, Wossner's Perle is a pleasing alternative. |
