Paph sanderianum x Transvaal is a big improvement over Landmark type hybrids, because of the addition of rothschildianum into the mix. The flowers are larger, have longer petals, and deeper colors. As a result, the heavy spotting on the petals and brushing in the dorsal that is common in Landmark type hybrids has persisted and been enhanced.

To the left: A brightly coloured cultivar of Paph Oberhausen's Diament,a cross of primulinum x sanderianum. Hybrids of Paph Primechild (the hybrid between primulinum x rothschildianum) and sanderianum, might give a similar hybrid to the one shown above, though in honey-yellow tones.
