The National Capital Orchid Society Show 1998


The National Capital Orchid Society Show,  held on Columbus Day weekend in Washington D.C., attracts more than 3,500 visitors.

 

Pescatorea lehmanii
Pescatorea lehmanii, a large flowered species with an unusual fuzzy lip. Flowers appear singly from the base of the plant.

Strikingly spotted, Phal Jennifer Matthews x Double Delight bears large colourful flowers.

Paph spicerianum 'St Albans'
Paph spicerianum 'St Albans' HCC/AOS is one of the most distinct of the paph species, used heavily in the early years of paph hybridizing. This awarded clone carries particularly chunky robust flowers.


Chocolate Drop
An old favorite, Cattleya Chocolate Drop 'Kodama' never fails to draw attention with its profusion of startling red flowers.
